Improve the consistency of your bagpipe strike-ins and cut-offs with McCallum Drone Valves. These adjustable elastic valves fit into the bottom of the drone stocks and help regulate airflow for cleaner starts and stops.
Installation is straightforward. Wrap the threaded portion of each valve evenly with waxed hemp until it fits snugly into the base of the stock. Working from inside the pipe bag, insert the valve into the bottom of the drone stock.
Once installed, the valve tension can be fine-tuned by gently pulling the elastic and sliding the small rubber stop into the desired position. This adjustable design lets the piper refine the response to suit the instrument and personal playing preference.

Installation Instructions:
Wrap the threaded portion of each valve evenly with waxed hemp.
Add enough hemp to create a snug fit in the base of the drone stock.
Working from inside the pipe bag, insert each valve into the bottom of its stock.
Gently pull the elastic to adjust the valve tension.
Slide the small rubber stop to hold the desired setting.
Test the strike-in and cut-off response, then fine-tune as needed.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.)
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
